Team Fastball Elite
Battle Creek "Battle of Bats" 2010 15U Champs!

The Revolution in Travel Baseball
What a concept!

Team Fastball Elite was developed with the success of development and improvement of Elite Players.   The concept that players who are already good "don't improve" on most teams.   In fact, especially where it counts the most with overall skill and ability.

For example:
Average increase in throwing/pitching velocity is 4mph in a basic three month Fastball program.   A one year average is 7mph.  That's the average.  Some players come in well above that average, and others are just a bit below.   All make improvements.

Here are some basic philosophies "Team Fastball" lives by during the off-season and during the season.

Objective Feedback:
1. Anything you measure you can improve
We objectively track and measure all of our players in every skill aspect of the game.   We record these numbers, and continue tracking for feedback on improvement.  If no improvement is being made, alterations and adjustments are made to that individuals program.

* Most Teams simply rely on playing games as the mode of improvement.  The reality is playing games is really a test of your ability and skill.   A very important test.
    Then what ?

Does repeating the same thing over and over again through a long season really improve your ability and development.   I think not!

For years I have been preaching the importance of development (practice more) and test less however, the rest of the baseball world has bought into "do what everyone else does".

Team Fastball Mission:

We are here to improve your ability and skill first, we will worry about winning percentage second.    Does this mean we don't want to win?  Heck No.   Learning to compete is part of the developement process as well.     We do not sacrafice "short term success" for long term development.

Hitters "Great, Good or mediocre" Will Improve:
Following the "what you measure you will improve" philosophy helps us in the development and tracking of hitters progress.

Hitters are objectively measured in "Exit Speed" (how hard they hit the ball) along with timing, and % of hard hit balls in a game.

Overall Team Fastball encourages and respects each individuals personal style while reinforcing key elements of mechanics which are tracked with objectivy.   Meaning our philsophy is we don't change things because of a coaching belief or philosophy.  Change is based on results.   If we make an adjustment that improves power, control, timing, ect.... that is a good change.   We we change something just because a coach prefers that "technique" and zero benefit happens - we don't make it.

Team Fastball Will Expand for the 2011.
Tryout dates Coming Soon.    Applications required for tryout.  Inquire by email fastballusa@hotmail.com.

A Team Fastball Member participates in our "warm up" cycle.

The warm up prepares each athlete to be more athletic and more explosive.

The warm up also blows away the typical baseball stretching and warm up program.
Many players are missing one of the five or more in development.

1.  Mobility/Agility
2.  Flexibility
3.  Balance of Strength
4.  Explosiveness
5.  Mindset

Personal Video Locker

Players take advantage of techology by watching their very own video review in person, on disc, or on-line at home.    The game review, practice review allows us to make sure we continue to move forward with development.

Bad habits come easy during a season, the video locker is designed to keep players sharp and track.  The video locker is also an excellent off-season tool so a player can review his analysis several times.
